Cain Adkins as Forrest Ragsdale (19,Caucasian): Forrest, Richard’s son, is a sarcastic college student who loves to stay in his room, playing computer games.  He is not social and often puts people off with his abrasive sense of humor.  Forrest does not intend to offend others; he just does not have a reliable set of social skills.

Because they have so much history together, Forrest and his dad often make obscure references that leave others mystified.  Forrest attends church on a regular basis with his mother, Patsy. Being somewhat of a “mama’s boy”, he is very protective of her.  His most important outside interest is music, and he plays in the church band.  He feels that if something does not come easily to him, then it is not worth putting his energy into it.
