Micah McDonald as ERICA SIMS (24, African-American): Erica is Nadine’s daughter, a media interviewer, social butterfly, and fashionista.  She is trying to figure out what is important to her as she matures into adulthood.  Erica is very close to her mother, Nadine, and thinks Richard is great for her mom.  Richard sees Erica as a very special person, and does what he can to help her through her growing pains.  Being a twenty-something is all about finding oneself, and Erica has plenty of challenges.  Her call center job pays the bills while she tries to launch herself as both an online interviewer and a sought after event host.  The men she meets never seem to be what she expected, but she is determined to find “Mr. Right”.
