Kron Moore as NADINE SIMS (45, African-American): Nadine is a playwright and producer with a Bohemian flair for chic fashion and home décor. She is a believer, but does not always go to church. Even though she said she would never move in with a man until she married, Richard caused her to break that rule. Over time, Nadine becomes frustrated, selfish, and she begins to reveal her “bougie” ways. She has been working for 10 years on her dream of producing movies and television shows.

David Tiefen as RICHARD RAGSDALE (52, Caucasian): Richard is a successful geeky computer consultant, who owns his own company. He is a charming control freak and agnostic. Richard met Nadine through an online dating site and after one phone conversation, they met for dinner. The rest is history. Richard’s 19-year-old son, Forrest, lives with him, which makes things very interesting when Nadine joins the household. His personality is down to Earth and nonchalant.

Nadine’s family and friends gossip about her relationship with Richard and wonder if he can afford to take care of a very high maintenance Nadine. His views on parenting are also a hot topic because Nadine is not quite as tolerant as he is which breaks the peace now and then. Richard is dry and witty. At other times, he is utterly silly with both Forrest and Nadine. However, when it comes to business, he is ALL business.

Ellen Dolan as MARGE MINDLEY (60s, Caucasian): Marge is Ted Mindley’s wife. Richard thinks she is the best wife in the world. She thinks of herself as the perfect housewife. She also travels a lot. She is very sweet and godly, but has her sharp side when she sees Ted flirting. She has a dark past that others do not suspect.

To complicate matters a little more, Marge is going through the change, and her hot flashes are epic. She loves making love to Ted, but his testosterone treatments are leading to encounters outside their own home. She is also aware that Ted cannot help getting erections when he sees attractive women. Frequently, Marge must find creative ways to fight his public battles with the “bulge!”

Alpha Trivette as Ted Mindley (60s,Caucasian): Ted is a real estate broker and mentor to Richard. He is addicted to adult porn sites.  His doctor has prescribed testosterone treatments which makes him mad for sex with Marge.  He sees himself as intellectual but has more street smarts than academic smarts. He is always a bit “randy” and flirts a lot. Ted and Marge do not have sex; they make love, and it is very powerful.

LaKeta Renee Booker as Netta Nelson (40, African-American): Netta is Nadine’s BFF and a fashion designer.  She is married to a younger man, Maxwell Nelson, who works weird hours and spends all of Netta’s money.  She is a straight talker that comes off as abrasive, and over the top.  She is going to school online for her Master’s Degree. Richard and Nadine are trying to work with her on rebranding her business. Richard thinks she is “ghetto.”

Kerri J. Baldwin as TAN FIELDS (45, African-American): Tan is best friends with Nadine.  They have been friends since high school.  She is bougie and narcissistic!  She always has to let it be known she is the highest paid person in the circle; however, this is just a sign of her insecurities.

Tan and Nadine share some characteristics outwardly.  They are both dominating figures physically.  Additionally, they dress well and can look elegant.  They are always sexy; however, Tan is jealous of Nadine. While Tan has money, she does not have the style, grace, or heart that defines Nadine.  She is, in some ways, a weak imitation who feels that her money can make up the difference.  She is currently on her sixth husband, Greg Fields, who is in love with her but beginning to be concerned about her spending habits.

The humor comes from Tan’s desire to be at the top of the financial and social ladders even though she lacks social skills.  Not having a true sense of style means she is often conned into buying things that are outrageously ugly, silly looking, or country.  Others, especially Netta, call her out about her choices and her actions.

Micah McDonald as ERICA SIMS (24, African-American): Erica is Nadine’s daughter, a media interviewer, social butterfly, and fashionista.  She is trying to figure out what is important to her as she matures into adulthood.  Erica is very close to her mother, Nadine, and thinks Richard is great for her mom.  Richard sees Erica as a very special person, and does what he can to help her through her growing pains.  Being a twenty-something is all about finding oneself, and Erica has plenty of challenges.  Her call center job pays the bills while she tries to launch herself as both an online interviewer and a sought after event host.  The men she meets never seem to be what she expected, but she is determined to find “Mr. Right”.

Queshan Hayes as Reid Harris (34, African-American): Nadine’s producing partner of her original developments. He starred in her musical.  Reid is a conservative gay.  He is in a complicated relationship.  He is asked often asked to direct a local choir.  Reid and Nadine have been very close for years, but Richard has taken Nadine’s attention. Reid wants to redo Richard’s wardrobe without Nadine’s knowledge.

Cain Adkins as Forrest Ragsdale (19,Caucasian): Forrest, Richard’s son, is a sarcastic college student who loves to stay in his room, playing computer games.  He is not social and often puts people off with his abrasive sense of humor.  Forrest does not intend to offend others; he just does not have a reliable set of social skills.

Because they have so much history together, Forrest and his dad often make obscure references that leave others mystified.  Forrest attends church on a regular basis with his mother, Patsy. Being somewhat of a “mama’s boy”, he is very protective of her.  His most important outside interest is music, and he plays in the church band.  He feels that if something does not come easily to him, then it is not worth putting his energy into it.

Angie Perez as Carita Escobar (32,Puerto Rican): Carita is the immoral neighbor who lives next door to Nadine and Richard.  She is a sexy Puerto Rican woman who smokes marijuana and loves her some white boys.  She flirts with Richard to get Nadine upset, but she also likes flirting with Forrest.
